Quickstart Guide
Convert a file through the API in four calls, with curl or any HTTP client.
1. Bootstrap a guest identity: POST /v1/identity/guest and keep the returned cookie.
2. Get an upload ticket: POST /v1/uploads with the file name and size, then PUT the raw bytes to the returned presigned URL. Finish with POST /v1/uploads/:id/complete — the service scans and probes the file before accepting it.
3. Create the job: POST /v1/jobs with { "source": { "blobId": "…" }, "conversions": [ { "target": "webm" } ] }. The response carries the job id.
4. Wait for completion: subscribe to GET /v1/jobs/:id/events for live progress (or poll GET /v1/jobs/:id), then fetch GET /v1/jobs/:id/outputs for the signed download links.
The dropzone on the home page performs exactly this sequence — watch its network traffic if you want a working reference.
