API Documentation
The NexMedia API is REST over HTTPS, same-origin under /v1, with server-sent events for live progress.
Identity: POST /v1/identity/guest mints a guest account and sets an identity cookie; every later call is authorized by it. No sign-up, no API key for browser use.
Uploads: POST /v1/uploads mints a ticket with short-lived presigned URLs. PUT the bytes straight to storage — the API never carries file bytes — then POST /v1/uploads/:id/complete to have the file inspected and accepted.
Conversions: POST /v1/jobs creates a conversion job from a source blob and one or more target formats. GET /v1/jobs/:id returns its state, GET /v1/jobs/:id/events streams live progress as SSE (replayable with Last-Event-ID), and GET /v1/jobs/:id/outputs lists signed download links once the job completes.
Downloads: GET /v1/downloads/* serves output files through signed links that expire shortly after they are issued; the signature itself authorizes the download.
